Website being updated...

It's been long over due and the website and blog need a face lift after 2 years of neglect. Yes, I am still photographing, yes I am always looking to meet new clients and make a few new friends along the way.
I have also decided that I am going to scale back on what I photograph and just do family portraits and newborn sessions. As much as I love weddings I feel like I need to focus on the family.

Moving from California in the Summer of 2012 with a 3 month old and 3 other little ones has been a change and a big adjustment. Being here in Richmond Virginia has been good to us. We see Nik more often, we have weekends free to explore and go on adventures, and we are making lots of new friends.
Now that is has been a year here, I feel like its not so bad here. It's been really a blessing to be able to have the opportunity to go out California whenever we want to.

This weekend will be  my last time for the year to go out there. Im really looking forward to photographing all my past clients and some new. Spending time with family, going to the beach and catching up with old friends.

So heres to a new beginning of my old business with lots of adventures and sites to see in Richmond Virginia.

Babies: Noelle- Southern California Photography

Little sweetie Noelle is about 3 months new in these images. I really really enjoy photographing babies. They are just so pure and innocent, although they can be challenging at times. In the end, viewing the images of them makes it all worth it.

California Sun!

This adorable family volunteered to be one of our models for the Blue Lilly Workshop too... Im really loving the warm California sun in these shots. I just love lens flares and warm soft sun highlights.. its just so dreamy. Oh I how I long to be back there some day....Grateful I was there to soak it all in.

It has been way too long!

With me moving, getting settled, having 4 wild children and traveling from Virginia to CA several times since I have moved in August... it is hard to keep up on all the blogging and recent photo sessions I have had.

Yes, I am still photographing. As much as I find the opportunity to.
Yes, I still love it. It is what completes me and makes me feel whole.

So, with that said. Here is a session that I shot in Oceanside, CA a few months back. It was from the Blue Lily workshop that I participated in. It was truly inspiring and great to meet up with other fellow photographers.

I love how the Dixon family had lots of fun together and the kids are just so happy.
